Welcome to VideoStrangerChat

These Terms govern your use of VideoStrangerChat’s random video chat platform. By using VideoStrangerChat, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Acceptable Use Policy.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: VideoStrangerChat connects you with random strangers worldwide. Must be 18+ to use.

1. Acceptance & Eligibility

By creating an account, clicking “Start Chat,” or using VideoStrangerChat, you confirm you’ve read these Terms, are 18+, can legally agree, and will comply with all laws. We may update these Terms anytime – notice via email, platform notice, or pop-up. Continued use after changes = acceptance.

🔞 Must be 18+ to use VideoStrangerChat. Users under 18 are banned immediately and reported to NCMEC and law enforcement.

Age Verification

We verify age through: self-certification/age gates, AI-based age estimation during chats, document verification for suspicious accounts, third-party verification services, and behavioral analysis. You agree to cooperate with verification requests. Providing false information is a material breach with potential legal consequences.

Zero tolerance for minors: Users under 18 immediately and permanently banned, suspected child exploitation reported to NCMEC and law enforcement, we cooperate fully with investigations, creating accounts for minors or facilitating minor access strictly prohibited.

Geographic & Legal Restrictions

Service may not be available in all countries/regions. You agree: not to access from prohibited countries, you’re responsible for complying with local laws, we may restrict access by location, don’t use VPNs to circumvent restrictions.

You cannot use VideoStrangerChat if you are: A registered sex offender, previously banned from VideoStrangerChat or similar platforms, subject to legal restrictions prohibiting video chat usage, have violated these Terms in the past, or using for illegal purposes.

2. Service Description & Accounts

VideoStrangerChat provides random video chat connecting users with strangers worldwide for live video conversations. Features: random matching (instant pairing), live video/audio (WebRTC), text chat (optional alongside video), Next/Skip button (move to next match), report function, anonymous chatting (no registration required), filter options (basic preferences – may vary by account type).

How it works: Matched with random strangers based on availability, video transmitted peer-to-peer via WebRTC, we do NOT record/store/monitor your video, chats temporary and end when either user disconnects, anonymous by default.

Service is “as available” – we don’t guarantee: uptime, matches (depends on user volume), error-free operation, compatibility, or specific outcomes. Service availability depends on technical factors. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features anytime.

Technical requirements: Device with camera/microphone, modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) with WebRTC support, stable internet (minimum 1 Mbps recommended), browser permissions for camera/microphone, updated browser and OS.

Account Registration (Optional)

Guest users can use basic features without account. Registered users get optional account for enhanced features.

If you create account: provide accurate, current, complete information; maintain and update info; use real age; not impersonate others; not create fraudulent accounts; not share account. One account only – creating multiple to bypass bans, manipulate system, abuse platform, or evade detection is prohibited and results in termination of all accounts.

Security: You’re solely responsible for password confidentiality, all account activities, immediately notifying us of unauthorized access/security breach, using strong unique passwords, logging out on shared/public devices.

We may require additional verification to confirm identity/age, prevent fraud/abuse/ban evasion, comply with legal requirements, or investigate violations. Failure to verify may result in suspension or feature limitation.

3. Prohibited Conduct

Enforcement: Warning (first-time minor), temporary ban (24 hours-30 days), permanent ban (immediate, irreversible), device ban, IP ban, law enforcement reporting, legal action (civil or criminal prosecution).

4. NO RECORDING Policy

🚫 RECORDING ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED: Recording, screenshotting, capturing, downloading, or storing ANY video, audio, or content = immediate ban + legal action + potential criminal prosecution.

Prohibited: Screen recording software (OBS, Camtasia, QuickTime, Windows Game Bar, etc.), screenshots/screen captures, phone cameras pointed at screens, third-party recording tools/apps/browser extensions, audio recording devices/software, saving/archiving/storing video streams in any format, using external hardware capture devices.

Recording without consent is: Material breach of Terms (immediate ban), potentially illegal under federal/state wiretapping/privacy/consent laws, subject to legal action/damages/criminal prosecution, violation of other users’ privacy rights.

Our Recording Policy

VideoStrangerChat does NOT: record your video/audio streams, store video chat content on servers, monitor/watch your live video conversations, share your video with third parties, archive/back up video content, or sell/monetize your video streams.

How it works: Video/audio transmitted peer-to-peer using WebRTC, streams exist only in real-time during active chats, all video data immediately discarded when chat ends, no recording/storage/archiving of any kind.

⚠️ CRITICAL WARNING: While we prohibit recording and don’t record ourselves, we CANNOT PREVENT other users from recording with third-party tools outside our control. This is inherent risk of video chat platforms.

To protect yourself: Never show ID cards, documents, credit cards, addresses, mail, etc.; control your background – be aware what’s visible behind you (family photos, street signs, etc.); assume potential recording – treat every chat as if it could be recorded; report suspicious behavior – users who request specific acts or appear to be recording; use “Next” button liberally – disconnect immediately if uncomfortable; don’t reveal personal details – name, phone, email, social media, location, workplace, school.

Text chat: Messages may be temporarily stored for moderation/safety (typically deleted 24-48 hours). Reported messages retained longer for investigation (up to 90 days). Messages scanned for prohibited content using automated systems.

5. Intellectual Property

Service and original content, features, functionality, design, code, technology owned by VideoStrangerChat, protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other IP laws. This includes: VideoStrangerChat name/logo/branding/trademarks, website design/UI/visual elements, software/source code/algorithms/matching technology, documentation/content/written materials, graphics/videos/images/media assets, database structures/compilations.

We grant limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use service for personal, non-commercial purposes subject to these Terms.

You may NOT: copy, modify, distribute, create derivative works; sell, sublicense, rent, lease service; reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble software; remove, alter, obscure copyright/proprietary notices; use for commercial purposes without written permission; frame or mirror service on other websites; use trademarks/branding without authorization.

6. User Safety & Your Responsibility

⚠️ CRITICAL SAFETY WARNING: VideoStrangerChat connects you with RANDOM STRANGERS from around the world. We do NOT screen, vet, verify, or conduct background checks on users. You use the service at YOUR OWN RISK.

We do NOT: Screen/verify user identities/backgrounds/intentions, conduct criminal background checks or sex offender registry searches, guarantee safety/trustworthiness/appropriateness of other users, monitor all video chats in real-time (only review reported content), control user behavior or enforce offline conduct, verify age/gender/location or other user-provided information.

Essential Safety Guidelines

Protect identity: NEVER share full name, address, phone number, email, workplace, school, or other identifying information. No financial info: Never share bank details, credit card numbers, social security numbers, passwords, financial accounts. Be cautious on camera: Don’t show ID cards, mail, documents, credit cards, street signs, or anything with identifying information. Control your background – be aware what’s visible behind you (family photos, addresses, landmarks). Trust instincts: If something feels wrong or uncomfortable, disconnect immediately using “Next” button. Use report button: Report harassment, inappropriate content, suspected minors, violations immediately. Never send money: Anyone asking for money is likely scammer – report and block immediately. Don’t click suspicious links: Users may share malicious links, phishing attempts, malware. Secure device: Use updated antivirus, firewall, keep browser/OS updated. Avoid personal details: Don’t reveal location, routine, schedule, where you’ll be.

Meeting in Person – STRONGLY DISCOURAGED

WE STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST meeting users from VideoStrangerChat in person. Platform designed for online video chat only.

If you choose to meet despite warning: meet in busy public place during daytime, tell friends/family where you’re going and who you’re meeting, share location with trusted contacts, arrange own transportation (don’t get in their vehicle), stay sober and alert, trust instincts – leave immediately if unsafe, bring charged phone and emergency contacts.

⚠️ DISCLAIMER: VideoStrangerChat is NOT responsible for in-person meetings, offline interactions, or any resulting harm, injury, assault, theft, or other consequences. You assume ALL risks.

Common Scams & Emergency Situations

Common scams: Romance/catfish scams (fake emotional connections to solicit money/gifts), sextortion/blackmail (recording explicit content and threatening to share unless you pay), phishing (tricking into sharing passwords/account details/clicking malicious links), cryptocurrency scams (fake investment opportunities or “trading tips”), emergency scams (claiming to need money urgently for medical/legal/travel emergencies), sugar daddy/mommy scams (fake offers of financial support in exchange for personal info).

7. Moderation, Enforcement & Termination

Moderation Approach

We use: automated detection (AI/machine learning for real-time violations), user reports (community-driven reporting system), human review (trained moderation team reviews reported content/accounts), proactive monitoring (random sampling and pattern analysis), AI-based age detection technology during video chats.

How to Report

Click “Report” button during/immediately after chat → select violation type (suspected minor under 18, sexual content/nudity, harassment/abuse, hate speech/discrimination, violence/self-harm, spam/scam, other violation) → provide additional context/description (optional but helpful) → submit report. Report is completely anonymous to reported user, reviewed within 24-48 hours, taken seriously and investigated thoroughly, kept confidential.

Investigation & Enforcement

Reports reviewed by automated systems and human moderators. We analyze session metadata, chat history, user patterns. Decisions based on evidence, severity, user history. May request additional information from reporters. Investigations typically complete 24-72 hours.

Enforcement actions: Warning (email for minor first-time violations), temporary restriction (limited access to certain features), temporary ban (24 hours-30 days suspension), permanent ban (immediate, permanent account termination), device/IP ban (prevention of creating new accounts from same device or network), law enforcement referral (reporting to NCMEC, FBI, local authorities), legal action (civil lawsuits or cooperation with criminal prosecution).

Termination

By VideoStrangerChat: We may suspend/terminate access immediately, without notice or liability, for any reason including but not limited to: violation of Terms/Community Guidelines/Acceptable Use Policy, fraudulent/illegal/harmful/abusive conduct, suspected security breach/hacking/account compromise, age verification failure or suspected minor usage, excessive user reports or pattern of violations, inactivity for extended periods, technical/legal/business reasons, any reason at our sole discretion.

Effect of termination: Right to use service immediately ceases, account access revoked, we may delete content and data, outstanding obligations remain due, provisions that should survive termination remain in effect. Surviving provisions: User Content & Recording Prohibition, Intellectual Property Rights, User Safety & Responsibility, Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Dispute Resolution & Arbitration, Governing Law & Jurisdiction, General Provisions. No liability to you or any third party for termination/suspension/restriction.

8. Disclaimers & Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VIDEOSTRANGERCHAT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: warranties of merchantability, fitness for particular purpose, non-infringement; warranties that service will be uninterrupted, secure, timely, accurate, error-free; warranties regarding quality, accuracy, reliability, availability of service; warranties about user identity, background, intentions, safety; warranties that video chat will result in friendships, relationships, specific outcomes; warranties regarding conduct, behavior, appropriateness of other users; warranties that service is free from viruses, malware, harmful components.

No User Screening or Verification

⚠️ CRITICAL DISCLAIMER: We do NOT conduct background checks, verify identities, screen for criminal history, guarantee user safety, monitor all video chats in real-time, control user behavior or offline conduct, prevent recording by other users. YOU INTERACT WITH STRANGERS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Third-Party Content & Technical Limitations

Not responsible for user-generated content or behavior. Don’t endorse, support, or verify accuracy of user statements. Links to third-party websites provided for convenience only – not liable for third-party services, content, or privacy practices. Video quality depends on internet connection and device capabilities. Cannot guarantee compatibility with all devices, browsers, or operating systems. Service interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical issues, or factors beyond control. Matching availability depends on number of users online. Service does not provide medical, legal, financial, mental health, or professional advice – any information obtained is for entertainment and social purposes only.

9. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

Maximum Liability Cap

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VIDEOSTRANGERCHAT, ITS PARENT COMPANIES, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, PARTNERS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL VIDEOSTRANGERCHAT’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE GREATER OF: $100 USD, OR The amount you paid to VideoStrangerChat (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Types of Excluded Damages

Limitation applies to damages arising from or related to: use or inability to use service, unauthorized access to your data or account, conduct, content, or actions of other users, security breaches, data leaks, privacy violations, service errors, bugs, interruptions, outages, deletion, corruption, or loss of content or data, failure to meet expectations or find suitable matches, in-person meetings or offline interactions with other users, emotional distress, harassment, trauma, psychological harm from user interactions, recording, distribution, or misuse of your video by other users, identity theft, fraud, scams, financial losses, physical harm, assault, injury, or death resulting from platform use, any other matter relating to the service.

These limitations apply regardless of legal theory (breach of contract/warranty, negligence/gross negligence, strict liability, tort including privacy violations, product liability, any other legal or equitable theory) even if VideoStrangerChat has been advised of possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions don’t allow exclusion/limitation of certain warranties or damages – in such jurisdictions, liability will be limited to maximum extent permitted by law. These limitations are fundamental elements of basis of bargain between you and VideoStrangerChat – service would not be provided without these limitations.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VideoStrangerChat, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, partners, licensors, and service providers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, and fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and court costs) arising out of or relating to: your access to, use of, or inability to use service; your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation; your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights; any content you post, upload, transmit, or display through service; your conduct on service or interactions with other users (online or offline); any claim that your conduct caused damage, harm, injury, or loss to another user or third party; recording or distributing video chats without consent; any in-person meetings, offline interactions, or activities with other users; your breach of any representation, warranty, or covenant in these Terms; any dispute you have or claim you make against other users; negligence or willful misconduct on your part.

We reserve right to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you. You agree to cooperate fully with our defense of any such claims. You may not settle any claim without our prior written consent. This indemnification obligation survives termination of these Terms and your use of the service.
